Northfield@Stapleton Apartments LLLP: the construction of 84 affrodable rental units started on Nov. 10, 2015. It is was completed in Nov. 2016 providing 18 one bedroom, 42 Two bedroom and 24 Three bedroom. The rent for the units will be  based on income qualification - (Low Incoms Housing Tax Credit guidelines) , and will range from approximalty $780 to $1,120 based on unit size/bedroom/ and client income.  


The Phase IV and V of NDHC's home ownership development at Stapleton completed in February of 2017 with 45 units. The units are 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom townhomes priced for housheolds making less than 80% of the area median income. ( Income qualified units).  To date NDHC has complted a total of 83 townhomes, with Phase VI under construction with 40 units planned for completion by end of 2017.



 Building Designed for Livability

This development has one three-story Type V-A building of wood construction built on a post-tensioned slab on grade. Designed as an updated version of the 3-story walk up, modeled after market rate rental housing.  

The apartment flats have secured limited access entry with private entrances located on 7 interior stair corridors with access to 12 units per staircase. Since the units are not located on  lond double-loaded corridors, tenants will have no cooking odor or noise issues and will have reduced common area energy usage and costs. The opportunity for tenants to interact with their neighbors is increased because there are only four units per entry level. Each individual unit contains 9' high ceilings and the units have large windows to allow more natural light to reach all parts of the unit, enhancing day-lighting and decreasing energy cost/usage. A solar PV system will provide 8% of the electricity for the development. All of the units have private patios, balconies or Juliet balconies, many have mountain views. Main level units on Trenton and Tamarac Streets will have private exterior stoops allowing front door street level access.





On Thursday January 16th 2014,  Northeast Denver Housing Center broke ground on 18 affordable townhomes in the heart of Stapleton.
