Pre-purchase counseling is designed to assist client to be better informed of their ability to purchase a home and the requirements of the mortgage lending industry.
Counseling sessions are conducted in the privacy of NDHC’s office and in group workshop or seminar sessions. The sessions cover the following: - Income, debt, and credit issues
- Lenders’ loan qualification standards
- Affordability
- Healthy Homes tips and indicators
- The home buying process
- Loans and assistance programs
- Responsibilities of a home owner
- Additional updated information
NDHC will provide certification of completion for clients that are required to attend sessions to fulfill the requirements of financing. Please see the page on workshops to get the next available date.
